KORA By Tom Kitchin is delighting guests with an exciting brunch menu, on top of extending the working hours and opening from 11am during weekends. Guests can enjoy seasonal brunch treats, as well as a selection of refreshing cocktails.
KORA By Tom Kitchin is a local family business, owned by Michelin Star Chef Tom Kitchin and Michaela Kitchin. The team is also behind well-known venues such as the Michelin Star restaurant The Kitchin, The Scran & Scallie and The Bonnie Badger in Gullane, all locally-minded with the ‘From Nature to Plate’ philosophy, offering seasonal menus made from local produce throughout.
What is more, Secret Edinburgh got the chance to try out the brunch menu, and we were not disappointed. The cosy atmosphere of KORA is filled with warm tones of green, gold and brown, complimented by the open brick walls, setting the tone for an effortless dining experience from the get-go.
We went for the Omelette Arnold Bennett with Welch’s smoked haddock and Koffmann’s skinny fries, as well as the Welch’s smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, avocado and sourdough toast. Cooked to perfection, both the omelette and the scrambled eggs provided that much-needed early afternoon kick for the rest of the day.
We were especially impressed by the brunch cocktails at KORA By Tom Kitchin. The Elderflower was the main highlight, with Tanqueray no 10, St Germain, Rose wine and sparkling water, offering that fresh, floral taste to complete the Saturday morning.
Chef Tom Kitchin explains: “It’s been truly special to see KORA brought to life over the past year – to see guests celebrating, relaxing, laughing and lounging with friends and family, sharing in a love of good food and drink. Guests have joined us for special celebrations, exclusive events, impromptu evenings and leisurely lunches and we’re really looking forward to introducing an earlier opening at weekends to allow even more guests to join us for brunch.”
“When we established KORA last year, we set out to create a space where families of all generations could feel welcome and comfortable. Our children’s menu is well received by younger diners and we feel sure that our new brunch menu addition will offer something for everyone to enjoy.”
