Edinburgh Cocktail Week, the UK’s biggest cocktail festival is coming back to Edinburgh for another year bringing 120 signature cocktails, along with its complete 2022 programme that includes 21 pop-up bars in the Cocktail Village, an exciting new rooftop Mirror Mirror Bar, headline music acts and a schedule jam-packed with special events. The 10-day festival takes place across the city from Friday, October 7 until Sunday, October 16 celebrating Edinburgh’s thriving bar scene.
Each of the 120 bars has created a Signature Cocktail that attendees can enjoy for £5 with an ECW wristband. Some of our favourite bar highlights this year include The Black Ivy, The Dome, Insomnia, The Basement, The Lioness of Leith and many more.
On top of all the fantastic cocktail creations, the brand new pop-up Mirror-Mirror Bar is expected to be the festival’s highlight. Located on the rooftop of The Glasshouse Hotel, the venue will offer cocktails like never before. Enclosed in a shimmering neon space, guests can enjoy £5 cocktails by whispering their order to the mirror wall and watching in amazement as the cocktail magically appears through the looking glass. Tickets are £15 and include entry with two cocktails and a 90-minute reservation.
Cocktails & Comedy will be a noteworthy event at The Stand Comedy Club: festival goers will be treated to cocktails while soaking up the ambience of a four-act comedy show featuring Marc Jennings, Mike Milligan, Bylgja Babýlons, Mark Nelson, Gus Lymburn and host Jay Lafferty.
And for those wanting to dive into a massive ball pit, Ballie Ballerson will be offering tickets that include a two-hour ball pit entry together with four cocktails per person.
However, the main magic happens in the Cocktail Village at Festival Square. Open 12pm to 11pm daily, the venue will feature 21 pop-up bars with live music and a myriad of cocktails to be tasted. The Cocktail Village’s headline music acts include sea shanty-singing TikTok sensation, Nathan Evans, Edinburgh singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, Swedish rising popstar, Lilly Ahlberg, TikTok’s newest Scottish singing obsession Calum Bowie, and Scotland’s finest funk-disco band, High Fade. Street food will also be available from Bross Bagels and Pizza Geeks, so guests will be both fed and ‘cocktailed’.
