Edinburgh Cocktail Week, the UK’s biggest cocktail festival is coming back to Edinburgh for another year bringing 100 signature cocktails, along with its complete 2023 programme that includes 20 pop-up bars in the Cocktail Village, headline music acts and a schedule jam-packed with special events. The 10-day festival takes place across the city from Friday, October 6 until Sunday, October 15 celebrating Edinburgh’s thriving bar scene.
Each of the 100 bars has created a Signature Cocktail that attendees can enjoy for £5 with an ECW wristband. Some of our favourite bar highlights this year include The Black Ivy, The Dome, , The Basement, The Lioness of Leith, Duck & Waffle for the very first time and many more.
However, the main magic happens at the Cocktail Village at Festival Square. Open 12pm to 11pm daily, the venue will feature 20 pop-up bars with live music and a myriad of cocktails to be tasted. Many previous favourites are returning to The Cocktail Village for 2023, including Patron, who is teaming up with Duck & Waffle for the first time to serve appetising food and cocktails from the Patron Cantina.
What is more, for the first time in history, Edinburgh Cocktail Week is organising a wee preview of some of the £5 cocktails that will be the stars of 100 bars and venues taking part around the city, ahead of the full cocktail guide being published in September.
Gary Anderson, Managing Director of Edinburgh Cocktail Week said: “As this is Edinburgh Cocktail Week’s fifth birthday, we want the 2023 Cocktail Village to be bigger and better than ever before. We’re delighted to announce that over 20 local and international brands will be joining us on Festival Square and it’s great to see some of the biggest brands in the business coming to the village for the first time. Whether you’re looking for some fresh and fizzy, bitter, sweet, fruity or sour, there will be something for all cocktail enthusiasts to enjoy.”
“With just under three months to go, we’re so excited about the £5 cocktails that will be available this year that we had to share a few of them early! Cheers!”
