Rock legend Rod Stewart has just announced a bunch of outdoor gigs on his Global Hits Tour and looks like an Edinburgh date is on the cards for the summer. It appears the superstar has not visited the Scottish capital in 13 years, so the concert is set to receive a warm welcome from fans.
July 6 and July 7 are the big days for Rod Stewart to put on a show of the decade at Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, just before Edinburgh goes into full Fringe mode.
Sir Rod Stewart has had an exceptionally colourful career with his unique voice and charisma. Before going solo, the singer fronted a number of bands such as The Faces, Long John Baldry and his Hoochie Coochie Men, Steampacket and the Jeff Beck Group.
Now, the global superstar has 30 albums under his belt, plenty of tours and a Las Vegas residency. On the tour, fans can sure expect to hear all the greatest hits: Maggie May, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? and Baby Jane.
Tickets for the new date will go on sale on February 24 at 10am on Ticketmaster.
