“I suggest we all hold on… TIGHTLY” aboard the Polar Express this November and December as it will be making its way to Edinburgh Waverley. Passengers will be able to get onboard to witness the theatrical experience on the Polar Express train ride, up until December 22. Those who believe in the magic of Christmas can embark on an adventure that invokes that childhood wonder based on the heartwarming story of the Polar Express.
“Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies within the heart”, but the said spirit can be amplified tenfold with an immersive theatrical experience aboard the Polar Express. The Polar Express train ride is inspired by the 2004 Christmas movie Polar Express which is based on the 1985 children’s book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg.
The film follows a young boy who boards a mysterious train to the North Pole in his PJs, along with other children, taking them on an epic adventure to meet Santa and learn about the spirit of Christmas. Thus, guests are encouraged to show up in their PJs and nightgowns to the Polar Express train ride in Edinburgh as well!
The Polar Express train ride website says: “Our fully immersive theatrical event lets you and your family, from little ones to Granny and Grandpa, experience what it would be like to journey on board The Polar Express.”
