One thing’s for sure – Glasgow’s very own Chef Nico Simeone, the founder of Six By Nico, has been brave and has taken exciting risks throughout his career, introducing unique concepts such as Somewhere By Nico and more. And it’s happening once again – a brand new concept is being introduced to the Queensferry Street site, replacing the existing Six By Nico restaurant.
Following a successful debut in Manchester this March and in Glasgow this June, Lennox Edinburgh cements another homecoming for the Chef for its tenth anniversary, opening its doors this July. As a result, the Six By Nico site is being replaced by Lennox, which underwent a complete transformation.
The new concept strips things back to the basics, where good food is what matters the most, bringing things back to before the growth and expansion of the franchise.
The Byres Road location is set to embody a minimalistic aesthetic for a day-to-night venue, with steel, concrete and raw materials, complemented by low lighting. What is more, the kitchen will be a focal point of the space, bringing the art of cooking as a live theatre for guests to marvel at.
Secret Edinburgh got the chance to try Lennox for ourselves at the Manchester restaurant before the opening, and, honestly, it was the best meal we’ve had in a long time. The opening menu features a collection of dishes, such as Scotch Egg with black pudding and quail egg, Buffalo Squid with nori ranch sauce, Stone Bass with shellfish sauce and pickled rhubarb, as well as premium cuts such as dry-aged Rib Eye and Chateaubriand cooked over fire.

At Lennox, the menu boasts dishes we all know and love, reimagined based on “nostalgia, technique and indulgence”.
Chef Nico Simeone said:
“Launching Lennox has been a really exciting next step in my career. The positive feedback and response we’ve seen in Manchester and Glasgow have been incredible, and opening in Edinburgh feels like a natural next step for the concept. Lennox allows me to cook instinctively and personally. It’s about stripping everything back to what matters most: great ingredients, great technique, and food that people genuinely want to eat. Edinburgh has long been a huge part of my journey as a chef, and I’m really excited to be able to bring this next step to one of the first cities I opened in many years ago.”
Lennox Edinburgh is opening its doors in July 2026, and is located at 40 Queensferry St, Edinburgh EH2 4RA.
