Auld Rickie has a long, infamous history of gripping courtroom drama, from the dark, cobblestoned legacy of its historic high courts to the theatrical stages that take over the city every August. But at The Jury Experience in Edinburgh, you aren’t just watching the trial unfold—you are the one handing down the verdict. The grueling days of a real trial are stripped down to 75 minutes of rapid-fire testimony, cross-examinations, and intense debate. Forget shouting at a true-crime documentary; take your seat in the jury box, weigh the evidence, and cast the final vote yourself.

What is The Jury Experience?
Put simply, The Jury Experience is an immersive courtroom drama where you sit on the jury of a made-up trial. Professional actors bring a gripping fictional trial to life while you sit in the jury box, weighing physical evidence against conflicting testimonies. As the case unfolds, you will cast live votes from your seat to steer the narrative toward a final conviction or acquittal. Just remember to trust your own instincts, as the pressure of the room might tempt you to vote with the crowd rather than your head.
