Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has introduced an exciting addition to Edinburgh’s burger scene, and it’s Gordon Ramsay Street Burger in St James Quarter. The opening marks Chef Gordon Ramsay’s third Scottish branch, following Bread Street Kitchen on St Andrew Square and Street Pizza in Stockbridge. Oh, and the new joint also boasts Street Fighter II and Pacman arcade games ready to play.
Michelin Star Chef Gordon Ramsay is an internationally renowned Scottish chef and restauranteur with two Michelin-starred restaurants under his name, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London, and Petrus by Gordon Ramsay in the heart of London’s Belgravia. Now, Chef Gordon Ramsay has built a multi-million-pound business which is ever-expanding, and we’re beyond excited.
When you go to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, you know you’re going to get phenomenal food and attentive service, and Secret Edinburgh experienced just that and more at Street Burger. The concept is simple and inviting, with a menu that’s creative, yet not too overcrowded. Guests can choose from a variety of juicy burgers, wings, sides and sharers, as well as a small selection of desserts.
We went for the Next Level Burger with a smashed double beef patty, American cheese, red onion and sriracha mayonnaise and the J.F.C. Salad (I know, don’t judge) with J.F.C. chicken thigh, butter lettuce, iceberg lettuce, red onion, roasted pepper, tomato, smashed avocado, J.F.C. sauce and street dressing. The patty proved to be as juicy as expected, with a nice spicy kick for someone who’s more sensitive to spice.
The salad was also just what we needed, with a perfect balance of tangy soft texture of the chicken and the avo, paired with the familiar crunch of the veggies and sweet potato fries on the side. All burgers also come with Koffman’s fries, and if you’re after a wee upgrade, you can double up your patty, wagyu up or add any extras such as bacon, a cheese skirt or Street slaw.
Plus, Street Burger also offers a noteworthy cocktail list, with concoctions such as the Street Spritz, with Pimm’s Sundowner, pineapple juice, elderflower and Fiol prosecco or the Hard Lemonade with Ketel One Vodka, Limoncello and homemade lemonade.
Street Burger is the perfect combination of quality food, chilled vibes and, well, arcade games for guests to enjoy for any occasion.
