An innovative Scottish fireworks festival is primed to set skies ablaze this autumn, inviting guests to celebrate Halloween and Bonfire Night at three stunning locations in and around Edinburgh. Fawkes Festival promises a spooky atmosphere with the backdrop of a castle or mansion, as well as a 20-minute firework display accompanied by music and lights.
Designed and produced by the team at GC Live and delivered by technical partners, 21CC Group, the Fawkes Festival is set to be an action-packed evening for the whole family. Taking place between October 28 and November 5, guests can expect live entertainment, fairground rides, street food and plenty of drinks to go around.
The festivities will kick off on October 28 in Dalkeith Country Park, while Hopetoun House will host the festival on November 4. The event will also be hosted at Gosford House for a final night on November 5, concluding four days of spooky season celebrations.
The first fireworks spooktacular takes place at Dalkeith Country Park, just outside Edinburgh, on Saturday, October 28 with the festivities culminating in a Halloween-inspired fireworks show, set to classic Halloween tunes, with the grand vista of Dalkeith Palace as a backdrop.
On Saturday, November 4, Hopetoun House in South Queensferry, hosts the annual Hopetoun Bonfire and Family Fireworks Spectacular with the theme of ‘A Night At The Movies’. The evening will also feature fireworks set to film scores and classic movie songs.
On Sunday, November 5 it is the turn of Gosford House, East Lothian to showcase the ‘Movie Magic’ spectacular featuring a fireworks display to music with lights, sky trackers and lasers, plus entertainment including a DJ, bubbles, fire pits, marshmallows, hot chocolate and performers.
Geoff Crow, Director of 21CC Group said: “This is going to be Scotland’s biggest and best Fawkes Festival. Since the pandemic, there have been virtually no big shows like this around the country but we’re bringing these events back with a bang!”
