Find peace and serenity at this free secret garden that looks like something out of a fairytale

While most of us have climbed Arthur’s Seat before, Dr Neil’s Garden is a place often passed by Edinburghers included. The secret hidden garden located just behind Arthur’s Seat is a place some locals aren’t aware of, filled with some unique plant species. Run entirely by volunteers, providing the community a place to keep them busy and engaged, especially to the elderly community. Visiting Dr Neil’s Garden is free, and you are welcome to explore its grounds that look like something from a fairytale, or enjoy a wee treat at the local cafe.
What is more, Thomson’s Tower, which is now the Curling Museum on the bottom floor, as well as an exhibition and events space on the top floor.
Dr Neil’s Garden is located at 5 Old Church Ln, Duddingston, Edinburgh EH15 3PX, and is open every day 10am – Dusk. You can find a list of events in the garden here.
