IKEA is a place where time disappears, where you will go in for a couple of wee things and exit with barely being able to fit everything into the car. And next thing you know, you’ve spent half the day there exploring every little corner followed by that much-anticipated hot dog in the end. But now, you can also book yourself an afternoon tea experience at the Edinburgh IKEA, and it’s only going to cost you a modest £7.
So, after (barely) fitting a brand new chair for the living room into a Skoda, shoppers can treat themselves not only to some meatballs and hot dogs, but also a blended Swedish and Scottish afternoon tea during the month of January. Expect a selection of teeny sandwiches, traditional cakes, fresh fruit and biscuits, accompanied with sparkling drinks as well as teas and coffees.
The IKEA afternoon tea comes with both meaty and veggie options, where diners will be contacted in advance to choose which option they prefer. The experience is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at IKEA Edinburgh, so now you can get excited for more than just a lonely hot dog.
We’re obviously not expecting a Michelin Star meal, but this is a great initiative to get shoppers even more excited for a day out to IKEA!
