Lifestyle aparthotel, Native Edinburgh has announced a unique festive programme of creative events in the run-up to Christmas to kickstart the feel-good in your festivities in the Capital. Collaborating with local neighbourhood heroes including floral ateliers, Olly & Ivy, and book store, Lighthouse, Native Edinburgh will host a jam-packed programme of interactive events at its speakeasy lounge, Counter.
Guests can rejoice in a photography exhibition, get involved in a monthly book club run by a local independent bookshop and attend a wreath-making workshop.
Luxury floral designers, Ollie & Ivy, are set to host two elegant wreath-making workshops on December 8 & 15 from 7pm. Trained in Paris and specialising in contemporary floral arrangements, the hosts will teach guests how to expertly make striking festive wreaths. Using locally sourced foliage and organic materials, workshop-goers will learn how to create contemporary rustic Christmas wreaths that they will be proud to hang in their homes.
One of Scotland’s most celebrated portrait photographers Stew Bryden is also hosting a debut solo exhibition at Native Edinburgh’s coffee and cocktail speakeasy, Counter until the end of the year. This new creative collaboration will see ten striking pieces shot by Bryden for all to immerse in and admire. It is the photographer’s debut solo exhibition, and Stew Bryden has shot for the likes of Fendi, Gucci, Max Mara and LV.
Counter is also introducing a new monthly social club by a local independent bookshop Lighthouse, with the aim to bring creatives together in the local community. It’s free to attend, so keep your eyes peeled for the next date, as the last book club was held on November 30. Native Edinburgh festive programme is officially kicked off, and we cannot wait.
Gary White, Regional Manager of Scotland Native Aparthotels, said:
“Christmas is such a wonderful time of year and we’re excited to bring some Christmas magic to Native Edinburgh.
We hope to be a place where our guests can escape to kick back, relax and indulge their creativity this festive season. And it’s even better that we can support local businesses like Ollie & Ivy and Lighthouse Books whilst doing it. Our festive programme is now live and we hope you can join us.”
