To start off the year the right way, many of us have set goals to deepen our self-care practices, work on ourselves, live more sustainably or simply exercise more. The perfect community event, Flare Festival, which encourages just that is coming to the Scottish capital this January 21, and it’s going to be filled with love, comedy, yoga, meditation, spirituality and more of all that good stuff.
The event is organised by a local mindset coach and founder of Flare* Nicole, also known as Nico. Flare* is a business that is not only based on coaching and mentoring, but also on creating inclusive well-being events which promotes creating change and impact in the world through first transforming our own internal worlds. Nico aims to create that ripple effect of good in the world by empowering the people around her, as well as small businesses and local creatives.
Flare Festival is set to be an exciting one, taking place at Edinburgh’s Summerhall, with a generous line-up of heart-warming events, empowering workshops, live DJ sets, plenty of local business stalls and an alcohol-free bar where guests can try out various alternatives. What is more, the festival will culminate with a rave, where like-minded individuals can dance their struggles away.
Flare Festival will be spread out through various spaces in Summerhall, offering visitors a chance to try a wide variety of activities. In the Main Hall, some noteworthy events include a body confidence talk by Iona May (author of Unleash Your Sass) a comedy show with Ralph Brown and other comedians. And in Dissection, guests will find reflexology treatments, tarot readings, the alcohol-free bar with live DJ sets, as well as local stalls for some wholesome retail therapy.
Tech Cube Zero will be hosting the yoga classes, and The Lab will become home to the holistic kind of things, such as drumming circles, modern hypnotherapy sessions and meditation.
What is more, guests can sleep soundly at night knowing all the ticket sales will be donated to a charity called Love Po and has a sentimental meaning to the founder. The charity provides cancer patients with something to smile, giving them gifts and experiences to gift heart-warming moments during the hardest of times.
If the festival sounds like a bit of you, book your tickets here.
