January may be the bluest month of the year, but we’ve got news of something that’ll brighten the start of 2023 right up. Making its way across the Scottish border (finally!), the successful 360º club night will debut Edinburgh 360º on January 27, 2023. And that’s not all. Spearheading the much-loved house and electronic music event will be international radio host and DJ Sam Divine.
Taking us to church – quite literally: the event will take place at St Mary’s Cathedral – The First Lady of Defected Records will perform an extended three-hour set of the biggest tunes, as the cathedral is filled with impressive projection mapping and a mesmerising light show.
What can you expect at Edinburgh 360º?
Edinburgh 360º (and all 360º events) is an electronic club night that brings some of the best house and electronic experiences to life in some of the most unique venues across the globe. Previous 360 events have taken place in Manchester’s Victoria Baths and Concorde centre, and Paris’ La Grande Arche de la Defense, with the likes of John Digweed, Faithless, Dimitri From Paris, Lee Burridge, and Darius Syrossian leading the sets. Each event has a 360-degree element: at St Mary’s Cathedral, the DJ booth will be right at the centre of the venue, so no matter where you are dancing, you’ll be in prime position – and the DJs will have a panoramic view of the revellers too.
Speaking of the DJs, Edinburgh 360º will kick off with an hour and a half set from 360º’s resident DJs, before Sam Divine takes to the decks. Having played in some of Ibiza’s biggest clubs year after year, and held residencies in spots like Pacha, Mambo, Amnesia, Eden and Ushuaïa, you know you’re in for a damn good night.
If the DJs and the club night itself weren’t impressive enough, the venue will be sure to blow you away. A Category A-listed venue and Scottish heritage site, St Mary’s Cathedral was first opened in 1879 and, with its Gothic revival architecture, makes for a brilliantly unique backdrop to Edinburgh 360º. How many people can say they’ve raved in a church?!
Edinburgh 360º is a collaboration between Fever and JBM Music – both juggernauts in the entertainment industry – so it’s guaranteed to go off. On the night itself, doors will open at 6.30pm, with last entry at 7.30pm.
