As millennials, all we want is to be tucked in bed by 9pm nowadays. As such, socialising has become mostly a daytime occasion, and nightclubs are now a thing of our youth, buried deep somewhere in our memory. Well, what if we told you you can not only be in bed early, but also have a full-blown party at the Boozy Ball with bingo, karaoke and drag performances?
Boozy Ball has recently launched at Coco Boho on George Street, inviting guests to a party like no other. Party-goers will play bingo, watch drag performances and sing their hearts out in “massaoke”, accompanied by plenty of day drinking and good vibes.
Coco Boho is Edinburgh’s freshest late-night bar and venue located under Tigerlily. According to Coco Boho, “no two visits will be the same” with a range of entertainment, fancy cocktails and trendy decor. Plus, the spot is open until 3am, entry is always free, there are no queues to the cloakroom and guests can opt for what type of outing is most suitable for the day in question.
Taking place every Saturday between 3:30pm and 5:30pm, the Boozy Ball kicks off with lip sync performances, followed by a couple of rounds of bingo, a mass karaoke taking rounds around the room and finishes with a third round of bingo. Secret Edinburgh got the chance to check it out for ourselves, and to our surprise, we won bingo!
The prizes all included alcohol, with the first two rounds being shots and the grand prize being a bottle of prosecco, which we ended up sharing.
Tickets to the Boozy Ball are £20 per person, and include entry and seat to the show, as well as three drinks each. To book your tickets, head to Coco Boho’s website.
