1. Princes Street
Princes Street is easily the place to be to get those cherry blossom shots with Edinburgh Castle posing as the idyllic postcard shot. Visitors can find the stunning blooming trees starting from The Mound, going all the up until the end to the West side of the street.
2. The Meadows
The Meadows and its cherry blossom-covered path can be found on many people’s feeds during the spring season, making it the perfect photo op just as good as you would find in Japan. The park truly comes alive in April after a long winter, attracting many locals and visitors to rejoice in the vibrant colours of its surroundings.
3. Canongate Kirk
Canongate Kirk on The Royal Mile is beautifully framed by two cherry blossom trees, making the stroll down the UK’s worst tourist trap actually enjoyable for once. Starbank Park is Edinburgh’s hidden jewel located in Newhaven, offering a quiet place to contemplate with views over the water and plenty of floral blooms and cherry blossoms to admire. After you’re done with the park, head to the Fishmarket for a wee Fish and Chips to end the stroll.
