The infamous Bongo’s Bingo has revealed four of its June shows at Edinburgh’s 02 Academy. If you’ve never been to a bingo rave before, it’s as crazy as it sounds, where chaos meets organised rebellion in the form of a game of bingo.
The organisers have merged the traditional British pastime with nostalgic revelry, rave rounds, dance-offs, Karaoke rounds and crazy prizes in a bid of unhinged escapism. Expect dancing on tables, winning crazy prizes such as Henry Hoover or a mobility scooter and just one of the most fun nights ever.
Since most months get a theme, June’s special theme is focusing on all of the amazing ladies who come to Bongo’s Bingo each time and bring the best tunes: Night Of The Divas. All locations across the UK will be celebrating seven icons who don’t need to be introduced by their second names: Whitney, Madonna, Cher, Rihanna, Celine, Dolly and, of course, Beyonce.
Unsurprisingly, guests will be able to sing along and dance to the pop queen’s jams and admire the most influential women who have inspired and led female empowerment for decades, with their music rocking Edinburgh on Friday, June 30. What is more, fancy dress is highly encouraged, so bring out the sassiest diva looks on the night.
