Returning for 2022 to bring us a little bit of festive sparkle, Bar Hütte is bringing back its wonderful, twinkling alpine huts. Bar Hütte opened at St Jame’s Quarter from November 10, with a wonderful new winter wonderland for Edinburgers to enjoy.
Bringing ski village vibes to the inner square, guests are able to book out their very own private ‘hütte’, perfect for getting together with friends during the colder months. Not only that, but it’s the perfect excuse to escape the chill, too, with some fantastic festive-themed drinks including hot gin, mulled wine and Irish hot chocolates on offer.
There are a number of rustic hüttes available, as well as a cosy terrace bar and indoor lodge to snuggle up inside. Soak up the Christmassy atmosphere, enjoy delicious oven-baked pizzas, or try the famous ‘Bombardino’ – which is provided complimentary for all hütte bookings. And they haven’t forgotten the much-loved karaoke sessions, either, with each hütte coming complete with its very own machine loaded up with the best festive hits.
Bar Hütte will also have their Party Lodges available, which are the perfect way for larger groups to celebrate Christmas. Pay £150 for hire of the space (up to 20 people) and you and your pals can enjoy a Magnum of Prosecco and karaoke.
There are also wreath-making sessions to get involved in, complete with a complimentary glass of prosecco, as well as free mince pies and the famous Bombardino for all who take part. Classes will be running on November 27 at 1pm, November 29 and 30 at 7pm and December 6 at 7pm.
Adding a new experience this year, Bar Hütte will be hosting a Santa Claus Club which includes a karaoke hütte for one hour, free hot chocolate and colouring pads for the kids, plus the chance to get a picture with Santa Claus. Priced at £25 for a a minimum of two people, maximum of eight, this family-friendly experience is bookable from 10am – 12.30pm on Sundays in December and Christmas week ( December 22 and 23).
Bookings are open now, and since the hüttes are super popular every single year, we’d recommend securing yours so you don’t miss out. Each hütte costs £50 for exclusive use for 1 hour and 45 minutes on Mondays and Tuesdays, with full use of the karaoke machine, and priced at £60 between Wednesday and Sunday.
