Scotland is officially getting its own Chick-fil-A, boasting their famous chicken sandwiches and shakes. The site will be the UK’s first Chick-fil-A drive-thru, part of the $100,000 million investment project to the UK for the next ten years.
Located at Hamilton Palace Grounds around an hour from Edinburgh, the Chick-fil-A drive-thru is opening its doors on October 29. What is more, guests can also dine in, as well as get food to take away without using the drive-thru.
Another new addition to their UK drive-thru restaurants compared to those in the US, Chick-fil-A Hamilton is stripping things back to the basics, with guests ordering face-to-face, instead of having to use the speaker system.

As for the food, guests can enjoy the Original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich, made with whole boneless breast of chicken and hand-breaded throughout the day, as well as hand-squeezed Lemonade, milkshakes, freshly prepared salads and a grilled chicken option.
Moreover, the restaurant will create approximately 100 full and part-time jobs in the local area. It will also participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table, a programme that redirects surplus food to local organisations, providing support to local people in need.

“Opening our first drive-thru in the UK and our first restaurant in Scotland marks an important step forward for Chick-fil-A. Much more than a new level of convenience, the drive-thru extends our signature hospitality into a new service channel, bringing together innovation, quality food and genuine personal connection. We are proud to introduce this experience in Hamilton and look forward to welcoming the community,” said Joanna Symonds, Head of U.K. Operations at Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A is located at Hamilton Palace Grounds, Retail Park, Unit B, Palace Grounds Rd, Hamilton ML3 6AD. What is more, the restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
