This October, over 400 bars are coming together to celebrate Scotland as a world capital for cocktail culture for Scotland Served, A World Class Cocktail Festival. In partnership with Johnnie Walker and The Singleton, Scotland Served was created to reimagine how whisky is enjoyed, marking a true homecoming for Scotch that combines Scottish pride with world-class mixology.
The festival runs across the country from October 14 to November 1, and participating spots will offer an array of Johnnie Walker and The Singleton cocktail experiences, from exclusive menu offerings and themed cocktail creations to full venue takeovers.
Whether you’re brand-new to the city, searching for a delicious night out, or a local on the hunt for a new favourite spot, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know for this unmissable event.
Experience World-Class Mixology In Action

Another reason to explore the festival? Alongside the Scotland Served, the country will also be hosting the prestigious World Class Global Finals.
This international cocktail competition highlights the world’s best bartenders and exceptional hospitality from across the world, and this autumn, over 50 of the world’s leading bartenders are heading to the home of Scotch to compete for the coveted title of World Class Bartender of the Year 2026.
While these award-winning mixologists journey across the country, they’ll be popping up in local venues for exclusive bar takeovers and guest shifts. In Edinburgh, keep an eye out for Maura Millia of The Rosewood Chancery (two-time World’s Best Bar winner), who’ll be taking over Hey Palu – one of several international takeovers happening across the country throughout the festival.
Together with Scotland’s own top bartenders, they’ll be shaping the nation’s modern cocktail landscape, while showcasing the finest Scottish hospitality across everything from bustling destination bars to late-night cocktail speakeasies.
